This is the accumulated profit earned by the Group till date, less transfer to general reserve, dividend and other distributions made to the shareholders.<\/span><\/p>\n\t\t\t<p class=\"_R9--Nonfinancial_-R9-NF_00Indent_Bold\" lang=\"en-US\"><span>Foreign exchange difference of subsidiary on paid-up capital<\/span><\/p>\n\t\t\t<p class=\"_R9--Nonfinancial_-09-NF_00Indent\" lang=\"en-US\"><span>This reserve represents the foreign exchange difference due to rate on the date of receipt vis-\u00e0-vis date of share certificate issued.<\/span><\/p>\n\t\t\t<p class=\"_R9--Nonfinancial_-R9-NF_00Indent_Bold\" lang=\"en-US\"><span>Foreign currency translation reserve<\/span><\/p>\n\t\t\t<p class=\"_R9--Nonfinancial_-09-NF_00Indent\" lang=\"en-US\"><span>This reserve represents the foreign exchange differences on converting subsidiaries financials into INR, including other adjustments on consolidation.<\/span><\/p>\n\t\t\t<p class=\"_R9--Nonfinancial_-R9-NF_00Indent_Bold\" lang=\"en-US\"><span>FVTOCI reserve<\/span><\/p>\n\t\t\t<p class=\"_R9--Nonfinancial_-09-NF_00Indent\" lang=\"en-US\"><span>The Company has elected to recognise changes in the fair value of certain investments in equity securities in other comprehensive income. These changes are accumulated within the FVTOCI reserve within equity.<\/span><\/p>\n\t\t\t<p class=\"_R9--Nonfinancial_-R9-NF_00Indent_Bold\" lang=\"en-US\"><span>Securities premium<\/span><\/p>\n\t\t\t<p class=\"_R9--Nonfinancial_-09-NF_00Indent\" lang=\"en-US\"><span>The amount received in excess of face value of the equity shares is recognised in securities premium.<\/span><\/p>\n\t\t\t<p class=\"_R9--Nonfinancial_-09-NF_00Indent\" lang=\"en-US\"><span>Cash flow hedging reserve<\/span><\/p>\n\t\t\t<p class=\"_R9--Nonfinancial_-09-NF_00Indent\" lang=\"en-US\"><span>It represents the cumulative gains\/(losses) arising on revaluation of the derivative instruments designated as cash flow hedges through OCI.<\/span><\/p>\n\t\t\t<p class=\"_R9--Nonfinancial_-R9-NF_00Indent_Bold\" lang=\"en-US\"><span>Capital redemption reserve<\/span><\/p>\n\t\t\t<p class=\"_R9--Nonfinancial_-09-NF_00Indent\" lang=\"en-US\"><span>As per section 69 of the Companies Act 2013, where a company purchases its own shares out of free reserves or securities premium account, a sum equal to the nominal value of the shares so purchased shall be transferred to the capital redemption reserve account. The capital redemption reserve account may be applied by the Group, in paying up unissued shares of the Group to be issued to members of the Group as fully paid bonus shares.<\/span><\/p>\n\t\t\t<p class=\"_R9--Nonfinancial_-R9-NF_00Indent_Bold\" lang=\"en-US\"><span>Share based payment reserve<\/span><\/p>\n\t\t\t<p class=\"_R9--Nonfinancial_-09-NF_00Indent\" lang=\"en-US\"><span>Share based payment reserve is created as required by Ind AS 102 \u2018Share Based Payments\u2019 on the employee stock option scheme operated by the Company for its employees.<\/span><\/p>\n\t\t\t<p class=\"_R9--Nonfinancial_-R9-NF_00Indent_Bold\" lang=\"en-US\"><span>Capital reserve<\/span><\/p>\n\t\t\t<p class=\"_R9--Nonfinancial_-09-NF_00Indent\" lang=\"en-US\"><span>Capital reserve mainly represent fair value gains\/(losses) on swapping of stake in associate entity pursuant to buy back.<\/span><\/p>\n\t\t\t<p class=\"_R9--Nonfinancial_-09-NF_00Indent\" lang=\"en-US\"><span>During the year, the Company acquired additional shares in Bajaj Auto International Holdings AG (earlier known as Pierer Bajaj AG), resulting in 100% control and reclassification from associate to subsidiary. The acquisition led to a bargain purchase gain of <\/span>\u20b9<span> 21.83 crore, which has been recognised in other comprehensive income and transferred to capital reserve in accordance with Ind AS 103.<\/span><\/p>\n\t\t\t<p class=\"_R9--Nonfinancial_-R9-NF_00Indent_Bold\" lang=\"en-US\"><span>Statutory reserve<\/span><\/p>\n\t\t\t<p class=\"_R9--Nonfinancial_-09-NF_00Indent\" lang=\"en-US\"><span>For its financing subsidiary, every year the company transfers sum of not less than twenty percent of net profit of that year to the statutory reserve fund created pursuant to section 45IC(1) of the Reserve Bank of India Act, 1934. No appropriation of any sum from the reserve fund is permitted except for the purpose as may be specified by the Reserve Bank of India from time to time.<\/span><\/p>\n\t\t\t<p class=\"_R9--Nonfinancial_-R9-NF_00Indent_Bold\" lang=\"en-US\"><span>Treasury shares<\/span><\/p>\n\t\t\t<p class=\"_R9--Nonfinancial_-09-NF_00Indent\" lang=\"en-US\"><span>The reserve for shares of the Company held by the Bajaj Auto ESOP Trust (ESOP Trust).
